Bear Lake

We headed with Cory's family this weekend up to Bear Lake. I found a great deal on a 5 bedroom cabin with gorgeous views! We left Friday morning and came home Monday afternoon. It was sooo much fun! We had nights filled with laughs, a lot of sugar, wine and mornings on the deck sipping mimosa's (a yummy mixture of O.J. and champagne)

Me and my guys!

Sunday, we borrowed Maizey's stroller and went on a hike to see the surrounding cabin's. It was a little to chilly for the lake so we made due exploring. Casey was content in the stroller for about 5 minutes and then got to ride on Daddy's shoulders. We only went about 1 mile round trip...it made me realize just how out of shape I am!

Standing on the deck of the cabin
Casey had a great time getting into everything, we practiced going down the stairs backwards as he couldn't stay away from them. He is a trooper on the boat, just not a big fan of his life jacket. Sleeping wasn't the best, he managed around 3-4 hours a night. Which makes for a tired Mommy and Daddy. When Casey would finally sleep, Jayden would be talking in his sleep. I've never been so grateful for my house where everyone has their OWN bedrooms!

Morning exercise

Casey and Jayden found toys to play with, not sure who was having more fun Jayden getting the ride or Casey laughing with big brother.
Enjoying rootbeer floats

We had so much fun together and a lot of laughs. Friday night, we decided to celebrate vacation the right way with 11 pm rootbeer floats. Amber in the background provided some entertainment for us all. Saturday while we were cooking dinner, we all decided to bust a move with Cha Cha Slide. Ü
We were out watching Jayden hit the ball, when we saw a Moose and her baby walking right in front of the cabin. They kept their distance and dispite how fast I ran through the cabin up two flights of stairs, I was still too slow to get a picture. Trust me, it was spectacular. I think it's great to get together as a family. We're reminded all to often that we only have so much time with loved ones. I enjoyed the memories and feel very lucky to have such a close bond with Cory's family.
